Junior Firewall Engineer

You will support network security operations through the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS, web proxies, load balancers, and endpoint security solutions.
• Manage the Cisco ASA platform, including licensing, patching, update management, and inventory.
• Capture and document business and technical requirements for new requests via the ticket queue.
• Draft change control documentation and maintain accurate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and system documentation.
• Support infrastructure deployment and operational tickets, including policy review and testing.

Required Skills

• 7-10 years of experience with Splunk.
• 3-5 years of experience with Cisco Firewalls.
• 3-5 years of experience with Load Balancers.
• Experience with micro-segmentation concepts.
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS technologies.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP addressing, network ports, and protocols.
• Foundational knowledge of routing and switching.
• Experience applying the System Development Lifecycle to security systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with A10 load balancers.
• Experience with F5 or Netscreen load balancers.
