Description

Develop and support web-based and mobile-aware Java applications and services within an agile team.

Responsibilities

• Create new applications and maintain existing ones through bug fixes, feature enhancements, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues to identify and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and project managers to create project specifications, requirements, and estimates.
• Participate in code reviews and support the development of coding standards and security guidelines.
• Coordinate with production operations to ensure smooth deployments and provide on-call production support.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of total development experience.
• 2+ years of web application or services experience.
• Proficiency in Java, JSP, JMS, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
• Experience with Angular and SOAP/REST web services.
• Experience using GIT and GitHub.
• Knowledge of relational databases including PostgreSQL, Cloudant, and MySQL.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as Sockets, TCP/IP, and UDP.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
