Description

You will support and maintain backup and recovery services across large server and application environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day backup and recovery operations using Veritas NetBackup and Commvault.
• Monitor backup jobs, respond to alerts, and resolve failed backups under senior guidance.
• Perform backup restores for servers, applications, and databases.
• Conduct routine health checks to ensure backup schedules and policies operate as expected.
• Provide Level 1/2 support for incidents, escalate complex issues with documentation, and apply patches.

Required Skills

• 2–5 years’ experience in backup or infrastructure support roles.
• Hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup and/or Commvault in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of backup concepts including retention policies, schedules, and restores.
• Experience working with Windows and Linux server environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to virtualized or cloud environments such as VMware, Azure, or AWS.
• Basic scripting knowledge such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Understanding of database or application-level backups (SQL, Oracle, VMware).
