Description

You will build and maintain backend applications using Perl and MySQL.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented Perl scripts and applications.
• Design, develop, and optimize MySQL queries, database schemas, and stored procedures.
• Analyze and optimize SQL query performance, database indexes, and server configurations.
• Integrate Perl scripts with backend systems and APIs for data exchange.
• Debug and resolve technical issues, including performance bottlenecks and bugs.

Required Skills

• 2-3 years of experience in Perl programming, including data structures and DBI.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schema design.
• Solid understanding of the Linux command-line environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and apply software development best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 5+ years of Perl development.
• Background in performance tuning for large-scale systems.
