Description

You will develop and maintain Python scripts to extract, clean, and transform data from various web sources.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write clean Python code to extract data from websites, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Clean and transform structured and unstructured data into usable formats.
• Identify and resolve issues related to website changes, access restrictions, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement testing procedures for Python-based web scraping scripts.
• Collaborate with developers and data scientists to document scraping processes and meet data requirements.

Required Skills

• 1-2 years of commercial experience in Python coding and scripting.
• 1+ years of experience in code development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong understanding of HTML structure for entity extraction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related subject.
• English proficiency at a B1+ level or above.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with web crawling or scraping techniques.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and relational or non-relational databases.
