Description

You will support research computational infrastructure through the administration of Linux and Windows servers, enterprise data storage, and web servers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain research computational infrastructure including Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Manage enterprise data storage, virtualization systems, and SLURM cluster systems.
• Execute regular system updates for storage, virtualization, and IT support ticketing systems.
• Perform system backups and implement security measures to protect research data and privacy.
• Handle physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs.

Required Skills

• Linux Server administration.
• Windows server administration within an Active Directory domain.
• Web server administration.
• Enterprise virtualization system administration.
• Master's degree with 1 year of cumulative IT work experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative IT work experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Ability to provide two references on a resume.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud computing and storage administration.
• Experience with commodity Dell, IBM, or HP server class hardware.
• Knowledge of computing cluster, container, or virtualization system administration.
