You will manage research computational infrastructure across Linux and Windows environments, enterprise storage, and web servers.
Responsibilities
- Maintain research computational infrastructure including Linux and Windows servers.
- Administer enterprise data storage and web server systems.
- Perform regular updates for virtualization, SLURM clusters, and operating systems.
- Manage system backups and protect research data following IT security protocols.
- Handle IT support requests through the ticketing system.
Required Skills
- Linux Server administration.
- Windows Server administration within an Active Directory domain.
- Web server administration.
- Experience managing enterprise virtualization systems.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Master's degree with 1 year of cumulative IT experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative IT experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Provision of two references on a resume.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of cloud computing and storage administration.
- Experience with commodity Dell, IBM, or HP server hardware.
- Knowledge of computing cluster, container, or virtualization system administration.
