Description

Akkodis is seeking a Junior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support testing activities for enterprise systems within a structured public‑sector environment. The successful consultant will contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts, working closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure quality across system enhancements and releases.

This role will support projects delivered using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with a strong focus on quality assurance best practices, accessibility compliance, and structured documentation.

Scope

Execute manual and automated test activities across large‑scale systems

Support functional, integration, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Validate system behaviour against business and technical requirements

Collaborate with project and Agile delivery teams throughout the SDLC.

Assignment Deliverables

Test strategies, test plans, and test scripts

Automated and manual test cases with documented results

Defect logs and test execution reports

Knowledge transfer documentation and walkthrough sessions.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

Strong manual testing experience to ensure comprehensive test coverage

Experience creating and executing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium or Playwright

Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript for testing web‑based applications (e.g., Angular)

Experience querying relational databases (e.g., Oracle) using SQL; PL/SQL exposure is an asset

Experience using Azure DevOps for test case management, defect tracking, and test execution

Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or SoapUI.

Nice to Have:

Understanding of testing in object‑oriented development environments

Knowledge of Information Management principles and best practices

Prior public‑sector experience within an organization of comparable size or complexity.
