Description

You manage and maintain enterprise Kafka infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Kafka clusters, including topics, partitions, and replication.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization to ensure stability.
• Implement security controls using TLS, Kerberos, and RBAC.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting brokers, producers, and consumers.
• Automate operations using Linux and shell scripting.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience specifically in Kafka administration within enterprise settings.
• Minimum 10+ years in overall software engineering.
• Strong understanding of Kafka internals, ZooKeeper, and Kafka Connect.
• Experience deploying Kafka in cloud-native environments (AWS MSK, Confluent Cloud, or self-managed on Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience implementing security best practices for Kafka.
