Description

You will manage and maintain Kafka clusters across on-premises and cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Kafka clusters, topics, partitions, and replication.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization using Prometheus, Grafana, and Confluent Control Center.
• Implement security controls including TLS, Kerberos, and RBAC.
• Troubleshoot issues with brokers, producers, and consumers.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3–5 years of dedicated Kafka administration in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Kafka internals, Zookeeper, and Kafka Connect.
• Experience with cloud-native Kafka (AWS MSK, Confluent Cloud, or Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
