Description

You will manage the design, sizing, and implementation of Kafka clusters and related messaging infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Kafka clusters, determining sizing requirements for Brokers and ZooKeeper hardware.
• Configure topic partitions based on specific performance metrics and application requirements.
• Manage Kafka components including KConnect, Schema Registry, KSQL, Rest Proxy, and Mirror Maker.
• Maintain messaging technology platforms such as Kafka and IBMMQ.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in messaging technology and Kafka administration.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, ZooKeeper, and Apache Hadoop.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Ruby, or Bash.
• Experience managing Kafka components: KConnect, Schema Registry, KSQL, Rest Proxy, and Mirror Maker.
• Knowledge of IBMMQ and related messaging products.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate qualification.
