Description

You will manage and maintain enterprise Kafka infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Kafka clusters, topics, partitions, replication, and retention policies.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and capacity using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Implement security controls including TLS, Kerberos, and RBAC.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across brokers, producers, and consumers.
• Automate operational tasks using shell scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in enterprise Kafka administration.
• Strong understanding of Kafka internals, ZooKeeper, and Kafka Connect.
• Experience with cloud-native Kafka (AWS MSK, Confluent Cloud, or Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
