Description

You manage, secure, and optimize Apache Kafka clusters to ensure high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade Kafka brokers, Zookeeper/KRaft, Connect, and Schema Registry.
• Monitor cluster health, consumer lag, and producer latency using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Implement security protocols including SSL/TLS, SASL, Kerberos, and ACLs.
• Automate provisioning and monitoring tasks using Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Provide third-level support and perform root cause analysis for broker, producer, or consumer issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka.
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Java scripting.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift containerization.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for automation.
• Expertise with monitoring tools Prometheus, Grafana, and JMX.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with disaster recovery and replication strategies across regions.
