Description

You will manage and maintain the Kafka streaming platform as a Site Reliability Engineer.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute cluster maintenance and changes based on documented installation and validation plans.
• Monitor platform health and follow runbooks to resolve application and platform issues.
• Troubleshoot and debug Kafka services to identify and fix root causes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and implement measures to improve reliability.
• Automate routine tasks using scripts to reduce manual intervention.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of professional experience in SRE or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep knowledge of Kafka architecture, including producers, consumers, topics, and partitions.
• Extensive experience with Kafka and KafkaAdmin.
• Proficiency in writing Ansible playbooks for task automation.
• Experience with Shell scripting and Python.
• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux system internals, networking, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability in troubleshooting platform services and application-level problems.
