Description

Manage Kafka and IBM MQ messaging infrastructures in a containerized Oracle Cloud environment. Own the deployment, monitoring, and reliability of real-time data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Kafka brokers, topics, and Zookeeper instances.
• Deploy Kafka nodes as containers using Docker and Kubernetes within Oracle Cloud (OCI).
• Manage IBM MQ environments, including QMgr, channels, clusters, and remote queues.
• Implement error handling, retry/replay logic, and SSL configuration for queue managers.
• Monitor messaging systems using Grafana dashboards and set up real-time data ingestion via Kafka connectors.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience as a Kafka Administrator.
• 2+ years of IBM MQ Administration experience, including WebSphere MQ 9.0/9.1 on Linux.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Spring Boot for microservices integration.
• Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Git, and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Strong Unix Shell Scripting skills for utility projects and code writing.
• Working knowledge of SQL on Oracle 12c or 19c.
• Experience with J2EE integration development.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with microservices architecture and scalability.
