Description

You will manage and maintain production Kafka environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer Kafka in production environments with 8+ years of experience.
• Operate and support the Confluent Kafka platform and its associated ecosystem tools.
• Design and maintain distributed data pipelines using Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and KSQL.
• Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, Helm, or Ansible.
• Ensure system availability through knowledge of networking, load balancing, and HA configurations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on Kafka administration experience in production.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and KSQL.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Open Shift) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible).
• Solid grasp of authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
