Description

You manage, secure, and scale high-availability Kafka clusters using automation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Automate Kafka installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching using Ansible and Python scripts.
• Deploy and manage the Confluent Platform on Kubernetes (CFK) running on OpenShift.
• Configure and manage Kafka Connectors and data governance through the Confluent Schema Registry.
• Implement and automate security protocols, including SASL, SSL, RBAC, and ACLs.
• Set up and manage Active-Passive clusters and ClusterLink for multi-region replication.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in Apache Kafka administration.
• Expertise with automation tools: Ansible, Terraform, GitOps, Shell scripting, and Python.
• Experience managing infrastructure on Kubernetes (OpenShift) and Linux environments.
• Proficiency in monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and JMX.
• Hands-on experience with networking security protocols: TLS, Kerberos, SASL, and RBAC.
• Familiarity with Kafka Connect, JDBC, and managing topics/partitions.
