Manage and maintain Kafka clusters across their lifecycle, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Kafka clusters with HA and DR strategies.
• Optimize performance by monitoring, identifying bottlenecks, and tuning for latency and throughput.
• Implement security configurations including access control, authentication, and encryption.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively address issues.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex performance, connectivity, and data problems within the Kafka ecosystem.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Kafka administration.
• Deep expertise in Kafka cluster management.
• Experience implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in performance tuning and bottleneck identification for message queues.
• Familiarity with implementing Kafka security protocols (ACLs, encryption).
• Experience setting up monitoring and alerting infrastructure for distributed systems.
• Skill in diagnosing complex data and connectivity issues within Kafka.
