Description

You will manage and maintain the Kafka ecosystem, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Kafka clusters with high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune the system for optimal throughput and latency.
• Implement and manage Kafka security, including access control, authentication, and encryption.
• Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and address issues.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues across the Kafka ecosystem, including connectivity and data problems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in administration roles.
• Expertise with Kafka cluster management and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Kafka security protocols, including authentication, encryption, and ACLs.
• Familiarity with setting up monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex data streaming and connectivity issues.
• Experience integrating Kafka with various data ingestion and streaming applications.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation of infrastructure tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with disaster recovery strategy implementation.
• Background in data ingestion application integration.
