Description
You will manage and maintain Kafka clusters to ensure availability, performance, and security across multiple environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kafka clusters across development, testing, and production environments.
- Configure Kafka brokers, topics, partitions, and access control policies.
- Monitor cluster health, performance, and capacity.
- Implement and manage Kafka connectors to ensure seamless data flow.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, and Data teams to optimize infrastructure and integration.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Kafka Administrator in a production environment.
- Deep understanding of Kafka architecture, brokers, ZooKeeper, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of Kafka security protocols including SSL, SASL, and ACLs.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Proficiency with Kafka management tools like Kafka Manager and Confluent Control Center.
- Solid understanding of Linux system administration and networking.
- B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/MS/MCA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
