Description

You will manage the installation, configuration, and administration of messaging platforms across diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Confluent Kafka, Apache Kafka, and RMQ on Linux, EC2, Windows, and AIX.
• Manage cloud-based Kafka instances including MSK and Confluent Cloud.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka issues, including user-reported incidents and system outages.
• Create and manage Kafka topics via Control Center and command lines.
• Configure ACL commands to manage user access and onboard new clients to messaging environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Kafka Administration and application support.
• Hands-on expertise with Confluent Kafka and Apache Kafka.
• Experience with RMQ and WebSphere MQ Series.
• Proficiency with Linux, EC2, Windows, and AIX environments.
• Knowledge of MQSC commands and Local/Remote Queue Manager configuration.
• Experience implementing clustering and federation communication protocols.
• Proven ability to manage disaster recovery (DR) scenarios.
• Ability to provide production support and resolve outages for multiple projects.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MSK and Confluent Cloud configurations.
