Description

You will manage the installation, configuration, and administration of Kafka and messaging queue environments across multiple platforms.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Confluent Kafka, Apache Kafka, and RabbitMQ across Linux, EC2, Windows, and AIX.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka issues, including user-reported problems and production outages.
• Manage Kafka topics via Control Center and command line, and implement ACL commands for user access.
• Configure disaster recovery scenarios and provide production support for multiple projects.
• Onboard new clients into Kafka and messaging technologies, including setting up federations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Kafka administration and application support.
• Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka, Apache Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency with EC2, Windows, and AIX platforms.
• Experience with MSK and Confluent Cloud configurations.
• Middleware administration experience using WebSphere MQ Series 8.0.
• Ability to create and configure Local and Remote Queue Managers.
• Knowledge of implementing Distribution and Clustering Communication across platforms.
• Experience using MQSC commands.
