Description

Manage and support mission-critical Kafka infrastructure and Confluent platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Kafka clusters with high-availability and disaster recovery configurations.
• Manage and monitor Kafka Brokers, Kafka Connect, and Apache Zookeeper.
• Configure Kafka Connectors for data integration with external systems.
• Perform cluster capacity planning, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Kafka administration within enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience setting up and managing Kafka clusters from scratch.
• Deep knowledge of the Confluent Kafka platform and ecosystem.
• Proficiency in Kafka Connect setup and integration.
• Strong Linux systems experience including Bash and Python scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Apache Zookeeper.
• Knowledge of Kafka security including SSL, SASL, and ACLs.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Confluent Certified Administrator or Developer certification.
• Experience in financial services or high-volume data streaming.
