Description

Lead the architecture, administration, and development of Confluent Kafka infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead Confluent Kafka application development.
• Manage Kafka topics, producer access, and consumer group permissions.
• Build data pipelines using Kafka Connect and deploy source/sink connectors on VMs.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and document Kafka issues.
• Configure Prometheus, Grafana, and Confluent Control Center for monitoring and alerting on consumer lags.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Kafka brokers, Producers, Consumers, Zookeeper, and Kafka Connect.
• Hands-on experience with Schema Registry, KsqlDB, and Kafka Streams.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE frameworks and microservices development.
• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Scripting expertise in Python and Shell.
• Knowledge of GCP, AWS, or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience setting up monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
