Description

Design and build backend Big Data services architecture using the Kafka framework, focusing on scalable distributed applications and straight-through processing of large data volumes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop Kafka consumers to read and process messages from topics for downstream applications.
• Optimize Kafka producers, consumers, and clusters by tuning configurations for memory, throughput, and latency.
• Create technical roadmaps and architectural designs to support enterprise service rewrites.
• Mentor other developers on coding practices and standards within an Agile framework.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Big Data development environments.
• Expert knowledge of Kafka messaging and stream processing technology.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python.
• Extensive experience with Microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Hands-on development with Spring Boot and containerized frameworks.
• Experience with PL-SQL and stored procedures using Oracle or Sybase.
• Background in designing distributed, high-availability systems.
