Description

You will design, build, and refactor Java-based critical applications and streaming architectures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build, re-architect, and refactor Java codebases for high-scale critical applications.
• Implement Kafka architectures for data consumption, publishing, and streaming integrations.
• Develop Spark applications using Scala to process streamed data from Kafka.
• Optimize complex queries within RDBMS and data warehouse environments.
• Write JUnit tests to ensure high Java code coverage.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Java development and codebase refactoring.
• 5+ years of experience with Kafka architecture, including consumption and publishing.
• 3+ years of experience with Spark and Scala for stream processing.
• Deep knowledge of Java concurrency modules and multi-threading in production environments.
• Experience migrating Java code from JDK 7 to JDK 8 or 11+.
• Strong proficiency in RDBMS (Oracle) and data warehousing (Vertica).
• Experience with Spring modules, Maven build scripts, and container/microservices lifecycles.
• Experience building RESTful API contracts and backend development.

Preferred Skills

• Python programming experience.
• Knowledge of Drools rules engine.
• Experience with Hazelcast or distributed caching frameworks.
