Description

You will design, develop, and operationalize distributed messaging systems using Kafka architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Kafka pipelines using KStreams and KSQL.
• Build producer and consumer applications using the Kafka API.
• Develop and operationalize new Kafka Connectors using the framework.
• Scale Kafka, KStreams, and Connector infrastructures within production environments.
• Monitor Kafka infrastructure, including Connectors, KStreams, and producer/consumer applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Kafka architecture and internals, including brokers, ZooKeeper, and producers/consumers.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka Connect, including HTTP REST proxy, JMS, File, SFTP, and JDBC connectors.
• Deep understanding of Kafka Streams, KSQL, and associated clustering models.
• Practical experience with Source/sink connectors for RDBMS and NoSQL data stores.
• Proficiency with data formats including XML, JSON, Avro, and CSV, including serialization/deserialization.
• Familiarity with Schema Registry and Confluent Control Center.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.
• Experience with the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Preferred Skills

• Background in banking or financial services and the banking data landscape.
