Description

You will manage and optimize data streaming architectures using Apache Kafka and AWS services.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Kafka clusters to ensure stable data stream management.
• Implement AWS services within distributed computing environments.
• Design and manage data processing workflows using Python and SQL.
• Apply data modeling and RDBMS design principles to support data engineering requirements.
• Operate within an Agile/Scrum development process.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of total IT experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in Apache Kafka and AWS MSK (Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka).
• Extensive experience in messaging and stream processing.
• Strong expertise in relational databases including Oracle, Postgres, and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing.
• Experience with Terraform and primary AWS services.
• Solid understanding of Data Modeling and RDBMS database design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
