Description

You will lead the architecture, installation, and administration of Confluent Kafka platforms and event streaming environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage Kafka capacity planning, cluster installation, configuration, and security.
• Optimize Kafka performance by tuning producers, brokers, partitions, and consumers.
• Design and automate daily operations for event streaming environments and integrated tools.
• Lead disaster recovery, data replication, and data pipeline implementations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate cloud solutions for Confluent connectivity and provide technical guidance to junior staff.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Kafka engineering and architecture.
• Expertise in Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka platform administration.
• Hands-on experience with kafka-tools and capacity planning.
• Proven ability in Kafka cluster deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in performance tuning at the producer, broker, and consumer levels.
• Strong background in managing data pipelines and replication.
• Ability to develop frameworks, standards, and reference materials for architecture.
• Experience with operations management of event streaming environments.
