Description

You will serve as a technical lead and architect for Kafka capacity planning, installation, and platform management in Richardson, TX.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage Kafka cluster deployment, including installation, configuration, security, and monitoring.
• Optimize Kafka performance by tuning producers, brokers, consumers, and Kafka partitioning.
• Design and automate daily operations for event streaming environments and integrate supporting tools.
• Lead the implementation of disaster recovery, data pipelines, and data replication strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate cloud solutions for Confluent connectivity and provide technical guidance to junior staff.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in event streaming or data engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka platform administration.
• Experience with Kafka cluster security, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Ability to design self-managed Kafka connectors.
• Experience with capacity planning and disaster recovery for distributed systems.
• Degree in any graduate field.
