Description

You will manage and enhance the core Kafka platform powering real-time data solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kafka clusters across production and non-production environments.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of the Kafka platform.
• Automate Kafka provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance using Ansible and Terraform.
• Support application teams onboarding to Kafka and optimizing their use cases.
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform health using observability tools.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering.
• 2+ years managing Kafka in production environments.
• Deep understanding of Kafka internals (partitions, replication, ISR, retention policies).
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Bash and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and MirrorMaker.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with observability tools for platform health monitoring.
