Description

You will design, deploy, and maintain Confluent Cloud and Apache Kafka infrastructure for Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure Kafka clusters, topics, partitions, replication policies, and retention settings.
• Implement multi-region and disaster recovery strategies and event-driven architecture.
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform and integrate Kafka into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor platform health, throughput, consumer lag, and broker utilization to troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and integration teams on technical design reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Apache Kafka architecture, administration, Producers, and Consumers.
• Strong proficiency with Confluent Cloud, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and Stream Governance.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and integrating cloud services with Kafka.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, SASL/SSL, OAuth, RBAC, and API Key management.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and microservices integration patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing topic partitioning strategies and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for pipeline management.
