Description

You will manage and scale Kafka infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You own the stability, upgrades, and technical design of these platforms.

Responsibilities

• Set up new Confluent Kafka platforms and manage upgrades to the latest versions.
• Maintain and optimize existing Kafka platforms to ensure operational stability.
• Design and implement technical solutions for Kafka on-premises and Confluent Cloud.
• Collaborate with development, product, operations, and architecture teams to support data streaming needs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience managing Kafka Brokers and a proficient understanding of Kafka client mechanics, specifically Producers and Consumers.
• Deep understanding of Schema Registry.
• Experience with KSQL DB, including its underlying implementation and functions.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka Connectors and their underlying implementations.
• Proven ability to design technical solutions for on-premises Kafka deployments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing Confluent Cloud environments.
