Description

You will build and maintain scalable, cloud-native backend services for a high-impact product engineering team.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-grade microservices using expert-level Kotlin.
• Design and implement REST APIs (OpenAPI 3.x) and gRPC services for high-performance communication.
• Build event-driven architectures using Kafka, Avro schemas, and Schema Registry.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, preferring Cloud Run.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, and Cloud Deploy.

Required Skills

• Expert-level Kotlin development.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with SQL databases (Spanner, Bigtable) and MongoDB Atlas.
• Knowledge of API design and gRPC.
• Ability to work effectively in AI-assisted coding environments.
• Local to Austin, TX.
• 3-year tenure track.
