Description

Define and own the Kotlin Multiplatform architecture strategy, leading the modernization of the cross-platform mobile ecosystem.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define the KMP strategy, architecture roadmap, and engineering standards for Android and iOS unification.
• Architect and implement scalable KMP solutions, including modularized networking, storage, and shared business logic.
• Write production-quality code using Kotlin, Compose Multiplatform, SwiftUI, Ktor, and SQLDelight.
• Mentor Android, iOS, and backend engineers, conducting architecture reviews, design sessions, and code reviews.
• Establish performance benchmarks, observability metrics, and lightweight CI/CD pipelines for automated quality checks.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in Android and/or iOS platforms.
• 5+ years of hands-on Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP/KMM) experience in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, including coroutines, Gradle build systems, and dependency management.
• Experience with Ktor for networking and SQLDelight for local data persistence.
• Deep knowledge of modern UI frameworks, specifically Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI.
• Proven ability to build and release mobile applications end-to-end, including REST API integration.
• Experience leading large-scale architecture modernization initiatives and establishing reusable shared modules.

Preferred Skills

• Experience rolling out KMP at scale in a high-growth or modernization program.
• Strong understanding of system performance, observability, and distributed systems.
