Description

You will manage the full lifecycle of Kubernetes container platforms and on-premise systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage cluster lifecycles by deploying OS patches and Kubernetes updates.
• Maintain and upgrade Kubernetes components including Istio, nginx ingress, CNI components, and outcold.
• Troubleshoot cluster issues involving control planes, ingress, worker nodes, deployments, and PVCs.
• Operate within a multi-cluster environment using a GitOps model.
• Build and manage vanilla Kubernetes or kubeadm-based clusters.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT industry experience.
• 3+ years of direct experience as a Kubernetes Administrator.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is mandatory.
• Extensive hands-on experience managing the Kubernetes control plane and cluster components.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes Persistent Volume Claims (PVC).
• Strong proficiency in Linux environments.
• Experience managing on-premise systems and DevOps workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Portworx.
• Knowledge of VMware and virtualization.
• Scripting experience using Python.
