Description

You will manage and maintain vanilla Kubernetes and kubeadm-based clusters in multi-cluster environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Kubernetes control planes and worker nodes.
• Upgrade core components including Istio, nginx ingress, CNI, and OutCold.
• Troubleshoot cluster issues related to control planes, ingress, deployments, and PVCs.
• Operate within a GitOps model to manage application lifecycles.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in the IT industry.
• 3+ years of experience specifically as a Kubernetes Administrator.
• Hands-on experience building and managing vanilla Kubernetes or kubeadm-based clusters.
• Deep expertise managing the Kubernetes control plane.
• Experience managing Persistent Volume Claims (PVC) in Kubernetes.
• Experience working in multi-cluster environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for ingress, worker nodes, and deployments.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, AWS, and EKS.

Preferred Skills

• CKA certification.
• Experience with Portworx.
• Knowledge of on-prem systems, VMware, Python scripting, and Linux.
