Description

You will design, implement, and operate an abstraction layer over Kubernetes to simplify developer workloads through encapsulated security and scalability best practices.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement platform specification files using the OAM format to meet developer and infrastructure requirements.
• Build integrations using code or scripting to streamline workload deployment and day 2 operations.
• Develop an SDLC for specifications to support rapid development and updates without impacting customers.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure the underlying platform provides necessary capabilities for your abstraction layer.
• Create deployment recommendations for development teams to mitigate outage risks.

Required Skills

• 7-10 years of experience building platforms.
• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Golang, and Argo.
• 4+ years of experience with Flux.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, object models, and security.
• Proficiency in GitOps and the software development life cycle in cloud-native environments.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub.
• Strong knowledge of the Kubernetes ecosystem, including ingress controllers and service-mesh.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Terraform, OAM, Kubevela, or GitLab.
• Experience writing controllers via Kubebuilder or Crossplane.
• Experience implementing service mesh solutions like Istio or Linkerd.
