Description

You will own the Kubernetes platform strategy, enabling application teams to onboard, deploy, and operate containerized workloads efficiently.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Guide development teams in onboarding applications to Kubernetes and OpenShift using streamlined, standardized processes.
• Design and improve platform solutions in collaboration with DevOps, Operations, and Release Engineering to enhance developer experience.
• Implement GitOps practices using ArgoCD for version-controlled deployments and automated infrastructure management.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes-based applications, platform configurations, container deployments, and connectivity issues.
• Develop onboarding guides, platform documentation, and conduct technical training to drive cloud-native best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with a strong background in software engineering, DevOps, and platform engineering.
• Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, OpenShift, containers, and enterprise platform onboarding.
• Strong experience with the Azure cloud platform and cloud-native application architecture.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar automation platforms.
• Experience with GitOps tools, specifically ArgoCD, for deployment automation and configuration management.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language: Go, Python, Java, Node.js, or Shell.
• Knowledge of observability tools for monitoring, logging, alerting, metrics, and tracing in Kubernetes environments.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with container security best practices, image scanning, and Kubernetes RBAC.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
