Description

You will own the management and support of our self-hosted, on-premises Kubernetes infrastructure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and scale on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
• Troubleshoot issues across the full stack, including containers, pods, nodes, networking, and storage.
• Collaborate with application developers to resolve deployment and runtime issues.
• Develop tools and automation to streamline cluster operations and improve reliability.
• Monitor cluster performance and resource usage, implementing enhancements for scalability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience managing on-prem Kubernetes clusters (Kubeadm, RKE).
• Proficiency in container technologies (Docker, containerd).
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and storage relative to Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, FluxCD).
• Experience writing Helm charts and other templating tools.
• Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) or ingress controllers (NGINX, Traefik).
• Familiarity with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Exposure to secure Kubernetes practices (RBAC, NetworkPolicies).
