Description

You will design, build, scale, and operate systems for development teams within the Engineering Productivity group.

Responsibilities

• Own production Kubernetes cluster management, including upgrades, monitoring, capacity planning, and security.
• Monitor infrastructure, respond to alerts, and implement automated alert handling.
• Create and maintain incident response runbooks in collaboration with service development teams.
• Debug and resolve issues affecting infrastructure stability and developer experience.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement fixes for tooling and infrastructure limitations.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise managing on-prem and bare-metal Kubernetes clusters.
• 5+ years experience operating software systems at scale.
• Proficiency with Ansible and GitOps workflows.
• Knowledge of Go, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with shell scripting for medium complexity automation.
• Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX, storage, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with network proxies and containerized storage.
• Ability to study OSS source code to debug complex, full-stack issues.
• Applied understanding of software engineering principles and security.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Jenkins, Grafana, Spinnaker, MySQL, ElasticSearch, and Google Cloud.
