Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide front line support for Citi's proprietary technologies with hands-on investigation and issue resolution.
- Support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability and functionality against service level expectations.
- Champion stability initiatives to enable application high availability for Business-As-Usual including better monitoring and failover.
- Perform controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups.
- Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management timely.
- Partner with development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.
- Communicate effectively with operations, technology, and business partners on regional or global basis.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of how areas of apps support collectively integrate to achieve business goals.
- Interact with software vendors to provide best solutions to business problems and technical challenges.
- Participate in disaster recovery testing and application releases, testing and deployment into production environments.
- Perform post release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates to ensure system stability.
- Develop and maintain technical support documentation for processes and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer.
Experience Required: 4-7 years of experience in System Analysis, Applications Support roles, and Level 2 support with expertise in Unix/Linux environments and relational databases.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or other engineering disciplines. Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered provided they have necessary skills and work experience
