Description

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

  • Monitor, manage, and optimize workloads across Azure and AWS platforms.
  • Perform capacity planning, resource provisioning, and infrastructure scaling.
  • Manage virtual machines, containers (AKS/EKS), serverless functions, and storage services.
  • Administer cloud networking components: VNets, VPCs, load balancers, DNS, and VPN gateways.
  • Maintain cloud cost optimization strategies and enforce budget tagging policies

Incident Management & L2 Support

  • Act as the primary escalation point (L2) for cloud infrastructure incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and publish post-incident reports with corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to SLA/SLO targets and drive measurable improvements in MTTR.
  • Collaborate with NOC, DevOps, and security teams during major incidents and change windows.
  • Participate in on-call rotations supporting critical cloud infrastructure.

Automation & DevOps

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
  • Automate operational tasks using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or cloud CLI tools.
  • Integrate cloud operations into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and automation playbooks.

Security & Compliance

  • Enforce cloud security best practices (IAM, RBAC, MFA, encryption, network segmentation).
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or CIS benchmarks.
  • Manage cloud security tools such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, AWS Security Hub, and GuardDuty.
  • Support audit readiness and assist in governance policy enforcement.

Monitoring & Observability

  • Configure and manage monitoring solutions (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Splunk).
  • Define alerting thresholds, dashboards, and escalation workflows.
  • Analyze logs and telemetry data for performance tuning and anomaly detection.

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years’ experience in cloud operations, infrastructure engineering, or systems administration.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with core Azure services: VMs, AKS, App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, VNet, Azure AD, Azure Monitor.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, VPC, CloudFront, IAM, Route 53.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation.
  • Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, or AWS CLI.
  • Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and ITIL-aligned processes.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, BGP, SSL/TLS, firewall rules.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
  • ITIL Foundation v4
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience designing and operating multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost governance frameworks.
  • Exposure to service mesh technologies.
  • Knowledge of managed database services: Cosmos DB, Aurora, DynamoDB.
  • Experience with chaos engineering, resiliency testing, or disaster recovery drills
