Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced L3 Application Support Engineer to support a legacy treasury platform within a global investment banking environment. The system supports critical treasury operations including liquidity management and internal financial processing and is built using C++ on Unix/Solaris infrastructure.

The role requires deep expertise in production support, debugging, and troubleshooting legacy systems, ensuring stability and performance of a mission-critical banking application. The engineer will work closely with operations, development, and infrastructure teams to diagnose complex issues, implement fixes, and maintain system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

L3 Production Support

• Provide Level 3 production support for a legacy treasury application built using C++ on Unix/Solaris platforms.
• Investigate and resolve complex production incidents impacting treasury operations.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for system defects, outages, and operational failures.

Code-Level Troubleshooting

• Analyze and debug C++ application code to identify system issues.
• Implement bug fixes, patches, and minor enhancements as required.
• Support application releases, deployments, and production rollouts.

System Stability & Performance

• Ensure the availability, stability, and reliability of the treasury platform.
• Monitor application performance, system logs, and operational metrics.
• Support incident management, problem management, and operational governance processes.

Knowledge Transfer & Documentation

• Collaborate with existing support teams to transition knowledge and operational responsibilities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Assist in platform stabilization and long-term operational support.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in C++ application development or production support.
• Experience supporting applications running on Unix / Solaris environments.
• Proven experience providing L3 production support for enterprise applications.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and log analysis skills.
• Experience with shell scripting for automation and diagnostics.

Application Support Skills

• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in large legacy codebases.
• Experience working with mission-critical enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of incident management and production support processes.
