Description

Manage L3 production support, migrations, and performance tuning for Sybase ASE and Replication Server environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3-level support for Sybase ASE and Replication Server in production.
• Perform database migrations, patching, upgrades, and routine environment maintenance.
• Diagnose complex system errors, performance bottlenecks, and resolve incidents via root cause analysis.
• Execute performance tuning, query optimization, and regular database health checks.
• Create and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Sybase DBA.
• Strong expertise in Sybase ASE administration and Replication Server configuration.
• Deep knowledge of Sybase internals for troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and Shell scripting.
• Proven track record in L3 production support and incident resolution.
• Experience with 24x5 BAU operations and security standard adherence.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working closely with application and infrastructure engineering teams.
