Description

Own the daily operation, health, and readiness of approximately 300 lab systems, ensuring uptime for validation activities.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assemble workstation systems and perform initial bring-up, power-on validation, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Flash and maintain BIOS/UEFI, BMC, CPLD, uCode, and platform firmware across systems.
• Diagnose and triage boot failures including no-POST, BIOS hang, and OS boot issues using log capture and component swaps.
• Set up, operate, and monitor thermal solutions including chillers, cold plates, and liquid-cooling systems.
• Track system inventory, configurations, firmware levels, and issues using standard trackers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in hardware assembly, BIOS flashing, and firmware management.
• Proficiency in system debugging and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with remote access tools (BMC, serial console, KVM, SSH).
• Ability to install, image, and re-image operating systems.
• Knowledge of operating system installation procedures.
• Familiarity with lab equipment management and documentation.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Skills

• IPC-A-610 certification for precision soldering under microscope.
• Proficiency with DMMs, Oscilloscopes, and Logic Analyzers.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR4/5) and modern microprocessor architectures (x86, ARM).
