Description

You will manage physical network infrastructure and hardware configuration within a lab or data center environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Rack and stack network equipment, handling weights up to 50lbs.
• Configure modems, routers, switches, and video devices via CLI or browser.
• Troubleshoot modem, video, and WiFi connectivity issues.
• Document technical processes and maintain clear communication with peers and management.
• Work independently on hardware projects using hand tools and ladders up to 10'.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience running and dressing cables in a lab or data center.
• Hands-on experience with equipment racks and racking/stacking hardware.
• Ability to distinguish and use CAT5, COAX, USB, and Serial cables.
• Experience with cable plant environments including CMTS, DOCSIS, and COAX.
• Configuration experience with modems, routers, and switches.
• Networking background with CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ certification.
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Basic Linux command line and Bash scripting knowledge.
• Experience with Mac OSX and basic remote access configuration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Visio, PowerPoint, Air Magnet, or handheld diagnostic tools.
