Description

Perform hands-on testing and hardware validation within the Austin lab.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, functionally test, and boot new boards and incoming hardware.
• Track test status and deliver verified equipment to end users locally.
• Coordinate global shipping and inventory logistics for boards and ASICs.
• Use protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers to debug first-level hardware issues.
• Perform motherboard rework and ASIC direct mount activities, managing external vendors.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a technical lab role.
• Deep expertise in PC hardware devices, motherboard architecture, and system assembly.
• Ability to use multi-meters and oscilloscopes for first-level board debug and repair.
• Working knowledge of PC architecture to troubleshoot hardware compatibility issues.
• Install and configure Linux and Windows operating systems, including drivers and BIOS flashing.
• Locate voltage rails, signals, and components using schematics.
• Proficiency in PC hardware/software troubleshooting and 2nd level soldering skills.

Preferred Skills

• Linux experience.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
