You will execute Wi-Fi test plans and perform initial investigation and debugging of wireless connectivity issues.
Responsibilities
- Execute Wi-Fi test plans and investigate wireless connectivity issues.
- Narrow down issue scope using RF experience to identify specific failure points.
- Validate private fixes for identified wireless issues.
- Define test plans from variables and handle testing in ambiguous scenarios.
- Develop tools to validate Wi-Fi functionality and end-to-end scenarios in Windows environments.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience testing or developing Wi-Fi platforms.
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi at the application or network level.
- Familiarity with RF debugging tools such as Wireshark, Wildpackets OmniPeek, or Ethereal.
- Experience with device testing on Wi-Fi or RF components like cellular radio or Bluetooth.
- Proficiency in C# and scripting with PowerShell.
- Experience with kernel debugging or trace analysis using xPerf, .etl, ETW, or Message Analyzer.
- Familiarity with MS tools including Product Studio and WTT.
- Experience with RF hardware including attenuators, antennas, and RF enclosures.
- Experience with Interoperability, Coexistence, and Over the Air testing.
Preferred Skills
- Windows Driver development experience and knowledge.
- Embedded devices development experience.
- Experience with Wi-Fi/BT certification (Wi-Fi Alliance, BT SIG) and Wi-Fi Direct/P2P.
- Knowledge of Bluetooth RF PHY development, PCB rework, and basic scope skills.
