Description

You will perform land surveys and inspections under the supervision of a Party Chief or Surveyor II.

Responsibilities

• Record survey results including shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features.
• Mark points of measurement using elevation, station numbers, or other identifying marks.
• Measure distances between survey points using steel tape, cloth tape, or surveyor's chains.
• Place and drive stakes at designated points and specified elevations.
• Clear obstructions such as brush and trees from survey lines.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in land surveying.
• RPLS certification.
• Civil education background.
• Ability to read and write station numbers and readings in notebooks.
• Proficiency in holding level or stadia rods to assist in determining elevations.
• Experience with layout for construction, land, and mapmaking.
• Capability to interact cross-functionally with craft personnel and team members.
